Air Injection Vacuum Control Solenoid Valve: Description and Operation

The ECM actuates the air switching valve through the vacuum switching solenoid valve. The air switching valve allows air injection into the engine exhaust ports when engine coolant temperature is below a specific level or during a set period of time after accelerator reaches wide open throttle.
