AWD : Removal and Installation


REMOVAL

1.Remove transfer assembly from A/T assembly. Exploded View
(VQ-37VHR) or Exploded View (VK-56VD).





2.Remove rear oil seal (1) using a flat-bladed screwdriver (A).

CAUTION:
Be careful not to scratch adapter case assembly.

INSTALLATION

Note the following, and install in the reverse order of removal.





- As shown in the figure, use the drift [64 mm (2.52 in) dia. commercial service tool] (A) to drive rear oil seal into adapter case assembly until it is flush.

CAUTION:
- Never reuse rear oil seal.
- Apply ATF to rear oil seal.
