P1425 COLD START CONTROL

Description

ECM & HCM control the engine torque properly when engine is started with prewarming up condition.
This control reduces the exhaust gas volume by fixing the engine torque to the low torque.
In this way this control reduces the engine out emission.

NOTE:
-If DTC P1425 is displayed with other DTC, first perform the trouble diagnosis for other DTC, according to the following priority.
1.DTC of ECM
2.DTC of HPCM
3.DTC of Li-ion battery controller
4.DTC of TCM
5.DTC of Traction motor inverter






DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE


1. PRECONDITIONING

If DTC Confirmation Procedure has been previously conducted, always perform the following procedure before conducting the next test.
1.Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2.Turn ignition switch ON.
3.Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
TESTING CONDITION:


Before performing the following procedure, confirm that battery voltage is more than 11 V at idle.
- GO TO 2.

2. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

1.Turn ignition switch OFF and wait at least 10 seconds.
2.Set selector lever to P position.
3.Turn ignition switch ON.
4.Make sure that air conditioner switch and electric load switches (lights, heater fan, rear window defogger)
are OFF.
5.Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "ENGINE" with CONSULT.
6.Check that the "COOLAN TEMP/S" indication is between 10�C (50�F) and 40�C (104�F).
If "COOLAN TEMP/S" indication is within the specified value, go to the following step.
If "COOLAN TEMP/S" indication is out of the specified value, cool engine down or warm engine up and go to step 1.
7.Select "DATA MONITOR" mode of "EV/HEV" with CONSULT.
8.Check that the "HV BATTERY TEMP" indication is 10�C (50�F) or more.
9.Confirm that the "SOC" indication in "DATA MONITOR" mode of "EV/HEV" with CONSULT is between 40
and 70%
10.Turn ignition switch ON and wait for 35 seconds.
11.Check 1st trip DTC.
Is 1st trip DTC detected?
YES- Go to .
NO- INSPECTION END


Diagnosis Procedure


1. INSPECTION START

With CONSULT
1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode of "ENGINE" with CONSULT.
3.Touch "ERASE".
4.Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.

With GST
1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Select Service $04 with GST.
3.Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.
.
Is the 1st trip DTC P1425 displayed again?
YES- GO TO 2.
NO- INSPECTION END

2. REPLACE ECM

1.Replace ECM. Service and Repair.
2.Work Procedure.
- GO TO 3.

3. PERFORM DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE

With CONSULT
1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Select "SELF-DIAG RESULTS" mode of "ENGINE" with CONSULT.
3.Touch "ERASE".
4.Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.

With GST
1.Turn ignition switch ON.
2.Select Service $04 with GST.
3.Perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE.
.
Is the 1st trip DTC P1425 displayed again?
YES- Replace HPCM. Removal and Installation.
NO- INSPECTION END
