FRONT WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM


Only Front Wiper HI Does Not Operate

1.ACTIVE TEST
With CONSULT-III
1. Select "FRONT WIPER" of IPDM E/R active test item.
2. With operating the test item, check that front wiper HI operation.
Without CONSULT-III
Start up auto active test. Auto Active Test.
Does front wiper operate normally?
YES - Combination Switch Inspection.
NO - GO TO 2.
2.CHECK IPDM E/R OUTPUT SIGNAL
1. Remove front wiper reverse relay.





2. Check voltage between front wiper reverse relay harness connector and ground.





OK or NG
OK - GO TO 4.
NG - GO TO 3.
3.CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN IPDM E/R AND FRONT WIPER REVERSE RELAY
1. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector.





2. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector (A) and front wiper reverse relay harness connector (B).





3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector (A) and ground.





OK or NG
OK - Replace IPDM E/R. Service and Repair.
NG - Repair harness or connector.
4.CHECK FRONT WIPER REVERSE RELAY





Check continuity between front wiper reverse relay terminals.





OK or NG
OK - GO TO 5.
NG - Replace front wiper reverse relay.
5.CHECK CIRCUIT BETWEEN IPDM E/R AND FRONT WIPER MOTOR
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect IPDM E/R connector and front wiper motor connector.





3. Check continuity between IPDM E/R harness connector (A) and front wiper motor harness connector (B).





OK or NG
OK - GO TO 6.
NG - Repair harness or connector.
6.CHECK IPDM E/R
With CONSULT-III
1. Connect IPDM E/R connector and front wiper motor connector.
2. Install front wiper reverse relay.
3. Select "FRONT WIPER" of IPDM E/R active test item.





4. Check voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground while front wiper HI is operating.





Without CONSULT-III
1. Connect IPDM E/R connector and front wiper motor connector.
2. Install front wiper reverse relay.
3. Start up auto active test. Auto Active Test.
4. Check voltage between IPDM E/R harness connector and ground while front wiper HI is operating.





OK or NG
OK - Replace front wiper motor. Disassembly and Assembly of Front Wiper Drive Assembly.
NG - Replace IPDM E/R. Service and Repair.
