Service Procedure

1. Make sure the ignition is OFF.

2. Remove instrument finisher B as follows:

a. Remove the 2 screw covers.

NOTE:
The covers are hard to see.

b. Remove the 2 screws behind the covers.

c. Carefully pull off instrument finisher B.





If needed use a plastic trim tool to help remove the finisher.





3. Carefully remove instrument finisher C; use a plastic trim tool.





4. Remove the screw for the multifunction switch.

5. Carefully remove the multifunction switch.

^ If needed use a plastic trim tool to help remove the switch.





6. Check the Lot Number on the back side of the multifunction switch.

^ Replace the multifunction switch if the Lot Number is within this range: 7G12 to 7G25

^ If the Lot Number is not in the range above, reinstall the switch; Do not replace.

NOTE:
If the multifunction switch is replaced, render the old one unusable by drilling a hole in the face.
