Malfunction Messages





* WARNING:
^ If you have not successfully completed the process on one vehicle and then start on another vehicle the message in Figure 40 will be displayed.

^ If you select YES you will not be able to return to the previous vehicle to complete the process later. The ICC unit will be damaged.

^ Once you have started ICC reprogramming on a vehicle make sure it has been successfully completed before starting on another vehicle.

^ IF YOU GET THIS MESSAGE (shown in Figure 40), SELECT NO. Then complete the process on the vehicle that you have already started.

If the reprogramming operation did not start or could not be completed;

^ A malfunction message will be displayed on the CONSULT-II screen,

6 A copy of the screen will automatically be printed.





CAUTION:
If any of the messages shown are displayed/printed reprogramming must be performed again.*

1. Turn the ignition OFF and CONSULT-II OFF.

2. * Make sure CONSULT-II and the ignition are OFF for more than 10 seconds before continuing.*

3. Perform the complete procedure in this TSB again; starting at Part 1. Perform all steps in all sections exactly as instructed.

The exact cause of the error messages is not known; therefore you must perform the entire procedure again. This includes the following:

^ Downloading the special Y50 ICC reprogramming data from ASIST onto the 8MB (orange) reprogramming card.

^ * Make sure all DTCs are repaired and erased from all CONSULT-II compatible systems.

^ Make sure all connections of the ICC reprogramming cable CONSULT-II DLC cables and CONSULT-II Converter cables are tight.

^ Make sure the battery charger is connected and charging at the correct charge rate.
