Component Tests and General Diagnostics

ASCD STEERING SWITCH
Check continuity between terminals by pushing each button.







ASCD BRAKE SWITCH AND STOP LAMP SWITCH
Check each switch after adjusting brake pedal.







PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH
Check continuity between terminals by setting selector lever to each position.







DIODE
- Check continuity using an ohmmeter.
- Diode is functioning properly if test results are as shown in the figure at left.
