EGR System Function Test

INSPECTION
1. Disconnect exhaust gas recirculation and evaporative emissions canister purge control solenoid valve harness connector, if equipped.
2. Start engine and allow to reach operating temperature.
3. Check exhaust gas recirculation valve lifting when increasing engine RPM from 2000 to 4000 RPM. The exhaust gas recirculation valve should lift up and move down without sticking.
4. Connect exhaust gas recirculation and evaporative emissions canister purge control solenoid valve harness connector, if equipped.
