Fig. 23 Wiper amplifier check:

1. Connect battery positive to terminal 5 and battery negative to terminals 1 and 3, Fig. 23
2. Connect test lamp to terminals 2 and 4.
3. Connect battery negative to terminal 6, test light should come on.
4. If amplifier does not perform as outlined, replace.
