1995 G20 OWNERS MANUAL SUPPLEMENT

APPLIED VEHICLE:
1995 G20 (P10)

SERVICE INFORMATION

Due to a printing error in the owner's manuals of some 1995 G20's, current owners/principal drivers may have received an incorrect description of certain seat belts and their use with child restraint systems. The May 1994 edition is correct; the July 1994 printing contains incorrect information.

To provide the correct information, and to ensure the safety and satisfaction of our consumers, Infiniti has prepared a supplemental booklet containing corrected information about the seat belts. The front and rear 3-point seat belts are the type known as "Emergency Locking Retractors". Their operation is similar to all 3-point seat belts. However, if using them with a child restraint, a separate part called a locking clip (P/N H8010-89970) must also be used. Failing to do so will result in the child restraint not being secure, and it could tip over during normal braking or cornering.

To communicate this information to existing owners/principal drivers, Infiniti mailed the revised seat belt supplement, along with an explanatory letter on Friday February 24, 1995. Consumers will be requested to place the supplement with their owners manual for future reference. Additionally, at approximately the same time, the supplement will be installed in the glove box of vehicles currently within the Infiniti distribution system.

Until such time as revised letter kits are available for future shipments of G20's, all Infiniti dealers will receive a supply of the seat belt supplement for their current vehicle inventory. It is requested that the supplement be presented, along with the vehicle/consumer literature, during the delivery process.

To assist in identification, modified literature kits will carry a sticker stating "Revised", and will contain an owner's manual dated February, 1995 or March 1995. Both manuals are correct and are interchangeable. The revised literature kits will be phased into the distribution process in late March, 1995.
