Fuel Pump Operation:

PURPOSE
The fuel pump relay, allows battery voltage to be applied to the fuel pump control circuit.

OPERATION
The Engine Control Module (ECM) supplies the ground circuit to the relay allowing the windings to close the contacts internally. Battery voltage is then applied to the fuel pump control circuit through the relay.
