Removing Fuel Rail:
FUEL RAIL REMOVAL
1. Release fuel pressure to zero.
2. Remove intake manifold collector.
3. Disconnect vacuum hoses from pressure regulator.
4. Disconnect fuel hoses from fuel tube assembly.
5. Disconnect injector harness connectors.
6. Remove injectors with fuel rail assembly. Follow loosening sequence.
Removing Injectors:
7. Push out injectors from fuel rail assembly.
NOTE: Do not extract injectors by pinching connector.
Installing Fuel Rail:
FUEL RAIL INSTALLATION
8. Install injectors with fuel tube assembly to intake manifold. Tighten fuel tube bolts to the specified torque.
NOTE: Always replace O-rings and injector insulators with new ones.
Tightening torque: Step 1) Tighten all bolts to 9.3 to 10.8 Nm (0.956.9 to 8.0 ft lb).
Step 2) Tighten all bolts to 21 to 26 Nm (15 to 20 ft lb).
CAUTION: After properly connecting fuel hose to injector and fuel tube assembly, check connection for fuel leakage.
9. Install fuel hoses to fuel tube assembly.
NOTE: Lubricate fuel hoses with a smear of silicone oil.
11. Reinstall any parts removed in reverse order of removal.
