Fuel Rail:

PURPOSE
Routes fuel from fuel tank to and from injectors.

OPERATION
Fuel is supplied to the engine, and returned to the tank through a steel fuel rail running on top of the intake manifold. Where connections are made, high pressure fuel hose and steel clamps are used due to high fuel system pressure.

WARNING: Do not use standard rubber fuel line or worm type clamps, due to a risk of leakage or fire. Use only fuel line and clamps designed for fuel injection systems.
