When replacing or reinstalling any poly-groove belt, care must be taken to ensure that all of the poly-groove belts are properly aligned on the pulleys.

Before setting the belt tension, visually check to see that the belt is properly seated. The grooved belt must not ride on the inside or outside rim of the pulley, because rapid wear or deterioration of the belt may result.

When installing a new poly-groove belt or replacing a used one, use the following procedure:

1. Install the belt and set the belt tension.

2. Start the engine and let it run for approximately 30 seconds. Switch engine off.

3. Check belt tension and reset as needed.
