Flushing

Flushing is performed to forcefully remove foreign particles from oil lines after hydraulic parts are replaced. Bypass valves are opened fully to permit circulation of oil through entire circuit system, thereby removing foreign particles from oil into filters built into reservoir tank, multivalve unit and pressure control.
1. Turn ignition switch OFF and connect CONSULT.
2. Check oil level in reservoir tank.
3. Lift vehicle, then completely open front and rear pressure control unit bypass valves and multivalve unit bypass valve. Tighten multivalve unit bypass valve to open.
4. Lower vehicle until wheels are slightly off ground.
5. Turn ignition switch ON. Touch START, ACTIV SUS, WORK SUPPORT and HYDRAULIC SYSTEM on the CONSULT display.
6. When CONSULT display shows ``1. FILLING OIL'' touch NEXT so display will show ``2. FLUSHING.''
7. Touch START and wait until flush setting is completed.
8. Start engine and idle for five minutes to execute flushing.
9. After flushing is complete, stop engine.
10. With ignition switch ON and engine off, touch NEXT on CONSULT display. When display shows ``3. CHANGE OVER OF BYPASS VALVE,'' touch START.
11. After flush setting is completed, lift vehicle.
12. Torque front and rear pressure control unit bypass valves to 8-9 ft. lbs. Secure with locknuts.
13. Completely loosen multivalve unit bypass valve and secure with locknut.
14. Lower vehicle until wheels are slightly off ground.
