Electrical Components Inspection
DRIVER'S SIDE POWER SEAT CONTROL SWITCH
Harness connector terminal layout
Driver's side power seat control switch inspection table
^ Measure voltage between each terminal and terminal (4) by following Driver's side power seat control switch inspection table. Do not use a digital type voltmeter when measuring terminal
L.H. POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT
^ Refer to "L.H. POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT" described in "Electrical Components Inspection" in "TROUBLE DIAGNOSES - Automatic Drive Positioner".
^ The only difference between L.H. POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT with Automatic Drive Positioner and that without Automatic Drive Positioner is the harness color of terminal (3) as follows;
Without Automatic Drive Positioner: G/OR
With Automatic Drive Positioner: G
SLIDING MOTOR
Check motor.
1. Disconnect sliding motor harness connector (S3).
2. Check sliding device operation with battery voltage supplied to terminals.
3. If the result is N.G., replace sliding motor assembly. When installing sliding motor assembly, refer to "POWER SEAT MOTOR INSTALLATION" described in "Front Seat" in "SEAT" section.
SLIDING LIMIT SWITCH
1. Remove sliding limit switch from sliding device.
2. Check continuity between sliding limit switch terminals (5), (7) and (28) at each knob position.
RECLINING MOTOR
Check motor.
1. Disconnect reclining motor harness connector (S5).
2. Check reclining device operation with battery voltage supplied to terminals.
Check reclining limit switch.
3. Check continuity between terminals (28) and (13), (15) with battery voltage supplied to terminals (14) and (16).
The needle of the ohmmeter should swing.
4. If any one of the results of 2 and 3 above is N.G., replace reclining motor.
When installing reclining motor, refer to "POWER SEAT MOTOR INSTALLATION" described in "Front Seat" in "SEAT" section.
FRONT LIFTING MOTOR
Check motor.
1. Disconnect front lifting motor connector S6)
2. Check front lifting device operation with battery voltage supplied to terminals.
Check front lifting limit switch.
3. Check continuity between terminals (28) and (13), (15) with battery voltage supplied to terminals (14) and (16)
The needle of the ohmmeter should swing.
4. If any one of the results of 2 and 3 above is N.G., replace front lifting motor.
When installing front lifting motor, refer to "POWER SEAT MOTOR INSTALLATION" described in "Front Seat" in "SEAT" section.
REAR LIFTING MOTOR
Check motor.
1. Disconnect rear lifting motor connector (S6)
2. Check rear lifting device operation with battery voltage supplied to terminals.
Check rear lifting limit switch.
3. Check continuity between terminals (28) and (17) (19) with battery voltage supplied to terminals. The needle of the ohmmeter should swing.
4. If any one of the results of 2 and 3 above is N.G., replace rear lifting motor.
When installing rear lifting motor, refer to "POWER SEAT MOTOR INSTALLATION" described in "Front Seat" in "SEAT" section.
