Attachment of Back Belt Molding:

Figure 1:

2. Raise the convertible top to the windshield header.

7. Using a mild detergent soap and a soft cotton cloth, clean the inside of the molding. Rinse the molding with clean fresh water. Dry the molding with a dry, soft, cotton cloth.

NOTE: Do not allow any soap residue to dry on the molding. Otherwise, spotting may occur.

8. Use a pencil to mark the inside of the molding for the three (3) spacers, as shown. (Figure 2).

9. Using a cotton swab moistened with rubbing alcohol, clean the area below the reference marks, large enough to accept the adhesive-backed spacers.

10. Peel the protective backing off the spacer.

NOTE: Do not touch the adhesive surface or expose it to debris. Otherwise, the spacer may not adhere to the back belt molding.

12. Engage and align the back belt molding to the quarter belt moldings.
