Refer to Fig. 3, for fan relay location.
1. On models with manual transmissions, check continuity between terminals 3 and 5, no continuity should exist, Fig. 4.
2. Apply battery voltage between terminals 1 and 2, check for continuity between terminals 3 and 5, continuity should exist.
3. On automatic transmission models, check continuity between terminals 3 and 5, then terminals 6 and 7 Fig. 5. Continuity should not exist.
4. Apply battery voltage between terminal 1 and 2, then check continuity between terminals 3 and 5, then terminals 6 and 7. Continuity should exist.
5. If relay do not operate as described, replace.
