Throttle Body: Adjustments

Accel-drum Unit Adjustment:

Checking Stopper Lever:

Accel-drum Adjusting Screw:

1. Whenever the throttle chamber and rod are installed, adjust accel-drum unit as follows:
a. Install accel-drum unit and throttle chamber.
b. Apply grease all over inside of rod couplings.
c. Insert each one coupling to ball links of throttle chamber and accel-drum unit, Fig. 22.
d. Loosen locknut and adjusting screw.
e. Manually turn accel-drum until throttle valve is fully open, then check stopper lever in not touching adjusting screw.
f. If stopper lever is touching adjusting screw, loosen screw to maintain clearance between the two, Fig. 23.
g. Turn adjusting screw until it touches stopper lever, then back off accel-drum.
h. Turn adjusting screw three rotations clockwise, then tighten locknut, Fig. 24.
