AIR INDUCTION VALVE
Apply vacuum to fitting and confirm that air passes through the large hose from the air cleaner to the AIV only.

Fig. 15 Solenoid Test:

AIV SOLENOID FUNCTION TEST
Apply voltage to the solenoid terminals as shown above and check air passages for continuity.
CAUTION: Reversing polarity will damage the solenoid.
^Replace solenoid if it fails above tests.
