How to Load and Initialize the Consult Software Program

Use the procedure when loading the software from a new CONSULT program card for the first time, or when re-loading software after an extended period of non-use when it becomes necessary to recharge the CONSULT Ni-Cad battery.

Whenever a new program card is received at your dealership, it should be loaded into the CONSULT unit immediately. This new card will cover the latest vehicles and all previous CONSULT compatible vehicles.

Introduction:

The memory capacity of the UE94O Program card is larger than that of the Random Access Memory (RAM) in your CONSULT unit. Therefore, the diagnostic software for all systems cannot be loaded into the CONSULT hardware RAM. The program card should remain stored in the program card reader after program loading, allowing quick access to system diagnostic software that is not stored in the CONSULT hardware RAM.

The diagnostic software that loads into the CONSULT hardware RAM during the initial loading process (using the UE940 card) covers the following systems:

^ Engine (Nissan & Infiniti)

^ Automatic Transmission (Nissan & Infiniti)

^ HICAS (Nissan & Infiniti)

^ Airbag (Nissan & Infiniti)

^ Traction Control System (Infiniti only)

^ Full Active Suspension (Infiniti only)

The software that loads into the CONSULT hardware RAM from the program card when needed covers the following systems:

^ Local Area Network (LAN) (Nissan & Infiniti)

^ Auto Air Conditioner (Nissan & Infiniti)

^ ASCD (Nissan & Infiniti)

^ Automatic Drive Positioner (Infiniti only)

^ ABS (Nissan & Infiniti)
