Auxiliary Air Valve (Idle Speed): Description and Operation

The FIC is installed on the throttle chamber to maintain adequate engine speed while the engine is cold. It is operated by a volumetric change in wax located inside the thermo element. The thermo element is controlled by engine coolant temperature.
