SERVICE INFORMATION
Some 1991 G20 vehicles within the affected VIN range indicated may experience sunroof motor slip after repeated use of the sunroof. An improved countermeasure motor assembly has been developed to repair incident vehicles.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Fully close the sunroof lid assembly.

2. Remove or lower the headliner panel to allow access to the sunroof motor.

Removal Procedure



- Fully recline both front seats for easy access. Remove headlining through front passenger door.

A. Remove sunvisor, assist straps, room lamps, and inside mirror.

B. Remove body side welts and sunroof welt.

C. Remove front pillar garnishes, center pillar garnishes, rear quarter garnishes and roof finishers.




3. Replace the motor assembly with the improved unit.

4. Reinstall headlining as removed.
