INTERIOR TEMPERATURE COOLER THAN INDICATED

APPLIED MODEL: 1990 M30 (F31), until June 18, 1990 production

APPLIED VIN: JNKHF14C*LT007501

SERVICE INFORMATION:

Some customers may notice that the interior temperature of their vehicles feels cooler than the "set" temperature displayed by the automatic amplifier. A countermeasure in-vehicle sensor/resistor assembly has been developed to balance "set" temperature with passenger compartment temperature and has been applied in production from June 18, 1990.

Before installation of an in-vehicle sensor/resistor assembly, perform a self-diagnosis check of the ATC system to confirm correct operation of the door motors, blower motor, ambient sensor, sunload sensor and intake sensor. Reference page HA-78 of the 1990 M30 Service Manual for self-diagnosis procedure.
