Endgate Lower Hinge Replacement - Body Side

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the end gate from the vehicle. Refer to Endgate Replacement (End gate Replacement).
2. Mark the position of the end gate hinge using a grease pencil.




3. Remove the bolts retaining the hinge trunnion to the vehicle.
4. Remove the hinge trunnion from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the hinge trunnion to the vehicle.
2. Position the hinge in the same position as marked during removal.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the bolts retaining the hinge to the body.

Tighten the hinge to body bolts to 25 Nm (19 lb ft).

4. Install the end gate to the vehicle. Refer to Endgate Replacement (End gate Replacement).
5. Inspect and adjust the end gate alignment, if needed.
