Thermostat Housing: Service and Repair




Thermostat Housing Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Drain the engine coolant Service and Repair.

2. Remove the coolant reservoir (A).






3. Remove the harness holder (A).






4. Remove the thermostat Thermostat Replacement.

5. Disconnect the heater hose (A) and the water bypass hoses (B).





6. Remove the thermostat housing (C).

Installation

1. Install the thermostat housing (A) with a new connecting pipe O-ring (B).





2. Connect the heater hose (C) and the water bypass hoses (D).

3. Install the thermostat Thermostat Replacement.

4. Install the harness holder (A).






5. Install the coolant reservoir (A).





6. Refill the radiator with engine coolant, and bleed the air from the cooling system.

7. Clean up any spilled engine coolant.
