Warm Up TWC Removal/Installation
FRONT (Bank2) ('08-09 models)
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the No. 2 ignition coil (A) and the ignition coil heat insulator (B).
3. Remove the front A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and front secondary HO2S (Sensor 2).
4. Remove the exhaust pipe A mounting nuts (front WU-TWC side) Service and Repair.
5. Remove the EGR pipe.
6. Remove the A/C condenser fan assembly and the radiator upper bracket/cushion.
7. Carefully remove the front WU-TWC (C).
8. Remove the converter covers (D).
9. Carefully install the front WU-TWC with a new gasket (E) and new self-locking nuts (F). Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.
10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
FRONT (Bank 2) ('10-12 models)
1. Remove the engine cover.
2. Remove the No. 2 ignition coil (A) and the ignition coil heat insulator (B).
3. Remove the front A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and front secondary HO2S (Sensor 2).
4. Remove the exhaust pipe A mounting nuts (front WU-TWC side) Service and Repair.
5. Remove the EGR pipe Service and Repair.
6. Remove the A/C condenser fan assembly and the radiator upper bracket/cushion.
7. Remove the front WU-TWC bracket (C), then carefully remove the front WU-TWC (D).
8. Remove the converter covers (E).
9. Carefully install the front WU-TWC with a new gasket (F) and new self-locking nuts (G). Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.
10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
REAR (Bank 1)
1. Remove the strut brace.
2. Remove the P/S feed hose clamp.
3. Remove the cowl cover Service and Repair.
4. Remove the No. 4 ignition coil (A) and the ignition coil heat insulator (B).
5. Remove the rear A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and rear secondary HO2S (Sensor 2).
6. Remove the exhaust pipe A mounting nuts (rear WU-TWC side) Service and Repair.
7. Remove the rear WU-TWC bracket (C), then carefully remove the rear WU-TWC (D).
8. Remove the converter covers (E).
9. Carefully install the rear WU-TWC with a new gasket (F) and new self-locking nuts (G). Tighten the nuts in a crisscross pattern in two or three steps.
10. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
