DTC Troubleshooting: P0BEA (87)
DTC P0BEA (87):
V Phase Motor Current Sensor Circuit Malfunction
NOTE:
- Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
- If the DTC cannot be cleared, do the troubleshooting for DTC U1204 (55).
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
3. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P0BEA (87) in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Does the screen indicate FAILED?
YES -
Go to step 4.
NO -
If the screen indicates PASSED, intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, go to step 1.
4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P0A61 (26) and/or P0A62 (27) indicated?
YES -
Do the troubleshooting for DTC P0A61 (26) P0A61 and/or DTC P0A62 (27) P0A62.
NO -
Replace the phase motor current sensor Service and Repair, then go to step 5.
5. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
6. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P0BEA (87) indicated?
YES -
Go to step 1.
NO -
Go to step 7.
7. Monitor the OBD STATUS for DTC P0BEA (87) in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.
Does the screen indicate PASSED?
YES -
Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs were indicated in step 6, go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.�
NO -
If the screen indicates FAILED, go to step 1. If the screen indicates NOT COMPLETED, keep the ignition switch ON (II) until a result comes on.
