Security indicator does not work properly

NOTE:

- The system will not operate without the 5-digit security (anti-theft) code.
- Before troubleshooting, make sure you have the anti-theft code.

1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait for 3 minutes.

2. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.

Does the security indicator (LED) on (blink)?

YES -

Go to step 3.

NO -

- With navigation, substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation). If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the audio-navigation switch panel Audio-Navigation Switch Panel Removal/Installation.�
- Without navigation, substitute a known-good audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation (Without Navigation), and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation (Without Navigation). If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the audio switch panel Audio Switch Panel Removal/Installation.�

3. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

4. Enter the 5-digit security (anti-theft) code.

Is the security indicator (LED) off?

YES -

The audio unit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections at the audio unit and the audio-navigation switch panel or the audio switch panel.�

NO -

- With navigation, substitute a known-good audio-navigation switch panel Audio-Navigation Switch Panel Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio-navigation switch panel Audio-Navigation Switch Panel Removal/Installation. If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation (With Navigation).�
- Without navigation, substitute a known-good audio switch panel Audio-Navigation Switch Panel Removal/Installation, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original audio switch panel Audio Switch Panel Removal/Installation. If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the audio unit Audio Unit Removal/Installation (Without Navigation).�
