Lower Valve Body Removal/Installation

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift.

2. Disconnect the solenoid harness connector.

3. Remove the front undercover (A) Front Undercover Replacement and the splash shield (B) Splash Shield Replacement.






4. Remove the drain plug (A), and drain the CVT fluid (CVTF). Reinstall the drain plug and a new sealing washer (B).






5. Remove the CVTF pan (A) (18 bolts), the dowel pins (two), and the CVTF pan gasket.






6. Remove the CVTF strainer (B) (two bolts).

7. Remove the eight bolts securing the lower valve body (C), and remove the bolt securing the solenoid harness connector (D) while holding the lower valve body, then remove the lower valve body.

8. Install the lower valve body in the reverse order of removal.

9. Refill the transmission with CVTF.

10. Do the start clutch pressure control calibration procedures Programming and Relearning if any control valve of the lower valve body is replaced.
