Engine Will Not Start (MIL Works OK, No DTCs Set)




Engine will not start (MIL works OK, no DTCs set, low fuel indicator not blinking)

Diagnostic Procedure:

1. Test the battery. Testing and Inspection

2. Test the starter. Testing and Inspection

3. Do a fuel leak inspection. Testing and Inspection

4. Troubleshoot the injector control module circuit. Injector Control Module Circuit Troubleshooting

5. Troubleshoot the injector control module relay circuit. Injector Control Module Relay Circuit Troubleshooting

6. Troubleshoot the fuel shut-off solenoid valve 1/fuel shut-off solenoid valve 2 circuit. Testing and Inspection

7. Test the throttle body. Testing and Inspection

8. Replace the fuel filter A element. Fuel Filter A Element Replacement

9. Replace the fuel filter B element. Fuel Filter B Element Replacement

Also check for:

- Low compression
- No ignition spark
- Intake air leaks
- Locked up engine
- Broken cam chain
- Fuel contamination
- Clogged injector
