Advanced Diagnostics - DTC P1575 (12): Motor Control Module (MCM) Voltage Malfunction

General Description
To avoid a change in motor output caused by a voltage sensor stabilization malfunction, it is necessary to compare the battery module voltage data transmitted from the motor control module (MCM) with the data from the motor power inverter (MPI) module. If the difference between them is more than a set value for a specified time, the MCM detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type, OBD Status

Enable Conditions

Malfunction Threshold
The difference between the MPI module voltage and the battery module voltage is more than 10 V for at least 2 seconds.

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM and the MCM memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
