Advanced Diagnostics - DTC P0AA7 (76): Battery Condition Monitor (BCM) Module Internal Circuit Malfunction

General Description
There is a voltage monitor circuit for the battery module in the battery condition monitor (BCM) module. The voltage is monitored by the photoMOS relay on the voltage monitor circuit. When the photoMOS relay check is not finished normally, the BCM module detects a malfunction and a DTC is stored.

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the IMA system indicator comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the BCM module memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC
The IMA system indicator is cleared if the malfunction does not return in the next trip in which the diagnostic runs. The IMA system indicator, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
