Advanced Diagnostics - DTC P0A94 (48): DC-DC Converter Output Low Voltage

General Description
When the DC-DC converter is operating normally, the 12 V battery voltage and the output voltage read by the battery condition monitor (BCM) module are within a specified value. When the DC-DC converter malfunctions, the 12 V battery voltage drops. When the DC-DC converter output voltage value commanded by the BCM module and the 12 V battery voltage value read by the BCM module are compared, and a specified voltage difference condition continues for a set time or more, or when the BCM module receives the internal malfunction information from the DC-DC converter, a DC-DC converter malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Enable Conditions

Malfunction Threshold
One of these conditions occurs for at least 60 seconds.
- The difference between the DC-DC converter output voltage and the BCM module voltage is 2.2 V or more.
- The BCM module receives the internal malfunction information from the DC-DC converter.

Driving Pattern
1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
2. Start the engine, and let it idle for at least 90 seconds.

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the IMA system indicator does not come on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the BCM module memory.

Conditions for clearing the DTC
The Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
