Advanced Diagnostics
Advanced Diagnostics - DTC P0607 (82): Battery Condition Monitor (BCM) Module Performance ProblemGeneral Description
The battery condition monitor (BCM) module detects the cell voltage of the battery module. The cell voltage is converted to voltage information in the high voltage processor through the battery scan circuit. The battery control processor obtains the cell voltage information through internal communication. When normal information is not sent from the high voltage processor for a set time, or when abnormal information is included in the information sent from the high voltage processor, and this condition continues for a set time, the battery control processor detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.

Malfunction Threshold
One of these conditions occurs:
- Normal information is not sent from the high voltage processor for at least 0.5 second.
- Abnormal information is included in the information sent from the high voltage processor for at least 0.5 second.
Diagnosis Details
Conditions for setting the DTC
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and a Pending DTC, a Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data are stored in the PCM and the BCM module memory.
Conditions for clearing the DTC
The MIL is cleared if the malfunction does not return in three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the Pending DTC, the Confirmed DTC, and the freeze data can be cleared with the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
