1. Check the brake lights while pressing the brake pedal.

Do the brake lights come on when the brake pedal is pressed and go off when the brake pedal is released?

YES -

Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.�

NO -

Do the brake pedal position switch test Testing and Inspection.�
