- 2008 V6 Attachment Arm SIL02C000033
- Engine Support Hanger, A and Reds AAR-T1256
- Engine Hanger Balance Bar VSB02C000019
- Subframe Adapter VSB02C000016

NOTE: Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
1. If you did not clean the ATF cooler when you removed the transmission, and you are installing an overhauled or remanufactured transmission, clean the ATF cooler ATF Cooler Cleaning.
2. Install the clamp bracket.
3. Install a new O-ring (A) on the torque converter (B), then install the torque converter on the mainshaft (C).
NOTE: Make sure the torque converter is fully engaged on the mainshaft starter shaft and the ATF pump gear. Failure to do so will result in severe transmission or engine damage.
4. Install the 14 mm dowel pin (D) and the 10 mm dowel pin (E) in the torque converter housing.
5. Install the transmission lower mount with new bolts.
6. Place the transmission on a jack, and raise the transmission to the engine level, then fit the transmission to the engine.
7. Install the lower transmission housing mounting bolts.
8. Install the rear transmission housing mounting bolts.
9. Install the front transmission housing mounting bolt (A) using a socket 22 mm long and a torque wrench.
10. Install the front transmission housing mounting bolt (B).
11. Install the front engine mount bracket (A) with new bolts.
12. Install the sensor harness clamp bracket (B) on the front engine mount bracket.
13. Remove the jack.
14. Install the upper transmission housing mounting bolts.
15. Position the transmission upper mount (A), and loosely install new transmission upper mount bolts (B) to the body frame.
16. Loosely install new transmission upper mount bracket bolt (C) and nut (D) to the transmission housing.
17. Plug the driveshaft hole to prevent dirt and solvent from entering the transmission. Clean the areas where the intermediate shaft contacts the transmission (differential) with solvent, and dry with compressed air.
NOTE: Do not wash the rubber parts with solvent.
18. Install a new set ring (A) on the intermediate shaft (B).
19. Apply ATF to the intermediate shaft splines, put the heat shield (C) on the intermediate shaft, then install the intermediate shaft; be sure not to allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the transmission.
NOTE: Insert the intermediate shaft carefully to prevent, damaging the oil seal (D).
20. Install the heat shield with the mounting bolts.
21. Install the rear warm up three way catalytic converter (WU-TWC) bracket (E).
22. Clean the areas where the left driveshaft contacts the transmission (differential) with solvent, and dry with compressed air.
NOTE: Do not wash the rubber part with solvent.
23. Install a new set ring (A) on the left driveshaft (B).
24. Install the left driveshaft; be sure not to allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the transmission. Turn the steering knuckle fully outward, and slide the driveshaft into the differential until you feel its set ring fully engage the side gear.
NOTE: Insert the left driveshaft horizontally to prevent damaging the oil seal (C).
25. Apply right driveshaft inboard joint splines with the recommended grease Driveshaft Installation.
26. Slide the right driveshaft over the intermediate shaft splines until you feel the driveshaft fully engage the intermediate shaft set ring.
27. Connect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connector (A), and install the CKP sensor cover (B) and the sensor harness clamp bracket (C).
28. Support the front subframe (A) with the subframe adapter (VSB02C000016) and a jack.
29. Position the steering gearbox washers (A) on the front subframe (B), and lift the subframe up to body.
NOTE: Be careful when connecting these items:
- Front engine mount and its bracket.
- Transmission lower mount and front subframe.
- Lower arms.
30. Loosely install new subframe mounting bolts (C), new rear stiffener mounting bolts (D), the front stiffener mounting bolts (E), and the front stiffeners (F) and the rear stiffeners (G).
31. Loosely tighten the front subframe mounting bolt (A) in the right rear stiffener until the front subframe insulator contacts the body; insert the subframe alignment pin (070AG-SJAA10S) through the positioning slot (B) on the right rear stiffener, through the positioning hole (C) on the front subframe, and into the positioning hole on the body.
32. Loosely tighten the front subframe mounting bolt in the left rear stiffener in the same manner as in step 31 Automatic Transmission Installation.
33. Reinsert the subframe alignment pin through the positioning slot on the right rear stiffener, through the positioning hole on the front subframe, and into the positioning hole on the body, then tighten the front subframe mounting bolt to the specified torque.
34. Tighten the front subframe mounting bolt in the left rear stiffener in the same manner as in step 33 Automatic Transmission Installation.
35. Tighten the front subframe mounting bolts in the right front stiffener and the left front stiffener to the specified torque.
36. Check that the positioning holes and slot are aligned using the subframe alignment pin
37. Tighten the rear and front stiffener mounting bolts to the specified torque.
38. Remove the jack and the subframe adapter.
39. Install both mid-stiffener with new bolts.
40. Install the transmission lower mount nuts.
41. Attach the torque converter to the drive plate with eight bolts (A). Rotate the crankshaft pulley as necessary to tighten the bolts to half of the specified torque, then to the final torque, in a crisscross pattern. After tightening the last bolt, check that the crankshaft rotates freely.
42. Install the torque converter cover (B).
43. Secure the rear engine mount base bracket with new bolts: 10 x 1.25 mm (A) (three bolts) and 12 x 1.25 mm (B).
44. Align the bolt holes in the front subframe and the gearbox mounting washers with the steering gearbox, and secure the steering gearbox with the mounting bolts (A), the bolts (B), and the stiffeners (C).
45. Secure the power steering fluid line clamp (D) with the bolt.
46. Connect the engine mount control system connector (E).
47. Position the steering gearbox bracket over the gearbox, and secure the gearbox with the bolts (A).
48. Secure the steering gearbox heat shield (B) and the power steering fluid line clamp (C) with the bolts. Install the power steering fluid hose (D) at the dot mark (E) in its clamp (F).
49. Secure the power steering fluid line (A) with the clamp (B).
50. Connect the engine mount control system connector at the front of the subframe.
51. Connect the ATF cooler hose (A) to the ATF cooler line (B), and secure the hose with its clip (C) Service and Repair.
52. Install the damper forks (A) with the damper pinch bolts, and install the ball joints (B) to each lower arms (C).
53. Install new damper fork bolts (D) and new self-locking nuts (E), and loosely tighten the self-locking nuts, then secure the ball joints with the castle nuts (F) and new cotter pins (G).
54. Install exhaust pipe A with new self-locking nuts and new gaskets (B) (C) Service and Repair.
55. Install a new front mount bolt, and install the front mount stop (A) with new nuts.
56. Tighten the transmission upper mount bolts to 54 Nm (5.5 kg-m, 40 lb-ft).
57. Tighten the transmission upper mount bracket bolts and nuts to 59 Nm (6.0 kg-m, 43 lb-ft).
58. Remove the engine support hanger and the engine hanger balancer bar with the 2008 V6 attachment arm.
59. Install the connector bracket to the front cylinder head.
60. Install the harness clamp bracket to the rear cylinder head.
61. Connect the ATF cooler hoses (A) to the ATF cooler lines (B), and secure the hoses with the clips (C) Service and Repair.
62. Connect the transmission fluid pressure switch A (2nd clutch) connector.
63. Secure the harness clamp bracket with the bolt.
64. Install the harness cover (A) on its bracket (B), and secure it with the mounting bolt.
65. Connect the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve C connector (C).
66. Install the harness clamp bracket (D), and install the harness clamp (E) on the bracket.
67. Connect the transmission fluid pressure switch B (3rd clutch) connector (A), the output shaft (countershaft) speed sensor connector (B), and the ATF temperature sensor connector (C). Install the harness clamp (D) on its bracket.
68. Connect the transmission range switch connector (A) and the input shaft (mainshaft) speed sensor connector (B).
69. Install the harness cover (A) on its bracket (B), and secure it with the bolt.
70. Connect the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve A connector (C), the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve B connector (D), the 4th clutch transmission fluid pressure switch connector (E), and the shift solenoid wire harness connector (F).
71. Apply molybdenum grease to the hole in the bushing (A) in the shift cable end (B).
72. Attach the shift cable end to the selector control lever (C), then insert the control pin (D) into the selector control lever hole through the shift cable end, and secure the control pin with the spring clip (E).
73. Secure the shift cable bracket (F) with the nuts.
74. Install the starter (A) and a new gasket (B).
75. Install the harness clamp bracket (A), and install the harness clamp (B) on its bracket.
76. Install the starter cables (C).
77. Install the transmission ground terminal (D), and install the water hose (E) in its clamp (F).
78. Install the strut brace. Loosely install the strut brace mounting nuts.
79. Refill the transmission with ATF ATF Replacement.
80. Place a floor jack under the lower arm, and raise the front suspension to load it with the vehicle's weight. Do not place the jack against the ball joint pin of the knuckle.
Tighten the damper fork mounting nut while holding the mounting bolt to 64 Nm (6.5 kg-m, 47 lb-ft), and tighten the damper pinch bolts to 49 Nm (5.0 kg-m, 36 lb-ft).
81. Tighten the strut brace mounting nuts to 22 Nm (2.2 kg-m, 16 lb-ft).
82. Install the battery base bracket and the battery base, and secure the resonator bracket under the battery base bracket with the bolt from under the vehicle.
83. Install the air cleaner housing Service and Repair.
84. Do the battery installation procedure Removal and Replacement.
85. Install the upper grille cover.
86. Reinstall the support strut brackets with the bolts to proper locations on both sides of the hood.
87. Install the splash shield.
88. Install the front wheels.
89. Set the parking brake. Start the engine, and shift the transmission through all positions three times. Check the shift lever operation, A/T gear position indicator operation, and shift cable adjustment.
90. Check and adjust the front wheel alignment Service and Repair.
91. Start the engine in P or N, and warm it up to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on).
92. Turn off the engine, and check the ATF level ATF Level Check.
93. Do the road test Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview.
