Troubleshoot the alternator and regulator circuit Alternator and Regulator Circuit Troubleshooting.

Check for a broken drive belt:

Check the drive belt auto-tensioner:

Check for excessive parasitic electrical current draw with the ignition switch in LOCK (0), and the key removed. The multiplex control unit may take up to 10 minutes to turn off (sleep mode) for some models.
