Poor acceleration

Diagnostic Procedure:

1. Intermediate housing assembly worn or damaged

2. Pulley pressure feed pipe damaged or out of round

3. ATF strainer or ATF filter clogged

4. Valve body assembly defective

5. CVT driven pulley pressure control valve defective

6. CVT drive pulley pressure control valve defective

7. Manual valve lines worn or damaged

8. Solenoid valve defective

9. Solenoid harness worn or damaged

10. CVT input shaft (drive pulley) and output shaft (driven pulley) speed sensors defective

11. CVT speed sensor and CVT speed sensor (secondary) defective ('06 model)

12. CVT speed sensor defective ('07-09 models)

13. PCM defective

14. Engine output low

15. IMA motor defective

Also check for:

- Check the drive and driven pulley pressure, and lubrication pressure. If the pressure is low or there is no pressure, check the ATF pump, the ATF pump chain, and the ATF pump sprocket.
- Check the CVTF level, and check the ATF cooler lines for leakage and loose connections. If necessary, clean the ATF cooler lines.
- If the strainer is clogged, find the damaged components that caused debris.
- Check for a stored DTC, and check for a loose solenoid harness connector.
