DTC P1575 (12): Motor Control Module (MCM) Voltage Malfunction

General Description
To avoid an increase or a decrease in motor output caused by a voltage sensor stabilization malfunction, it is necessary to compare the battery module voltage data transmitted from the motor control module (MCM) with the data from the motor power inverter (MPI) module. If the difference between them is more than a set value for a specified time, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Monitor Execution, Sequence, Duration, DTC Type, OBD Status

Enable Conditions

Malfunction Threshold
The difference between the MPI module voltage and the battery module voltage is more than 10 V for at least 2 seconds.

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for illuminating the MIL
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and the DTC and the freeze frame data are stored in the PCM and MCM memory.

Conditions for clearing the MIL
The MIL will be cleared if the malfunction does not recur during three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs.

The MIL, the DTC, and the freeze frame data can be cleared by using the scan tool Clear command or by disconnecting the battery.
