Left Rear Speaker Crackles, Pops, or Does Not Work

SYMPTOM
The customer complains about crackling, popping, or sound cutting out from the left rear speaker. All other speakers are normal.

PROBABLE CAUSE
There is an internal problem with the audio unit.





VEHICLES AFFECTED

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the audio unit with a remanufactured unit.

Out of warranty: Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Replace the audio unit:

^ Refer to page 23-111 of the 2008 Accord Service Manual, or

^ Online, enter keywords AUDIO REMOVAL, and select Audio Unit Removal/Installation (Without Navigation) from the list.
