Lateral Accelerometer: Service and Repair

Yaw Rate-Lateral Acceleration Sensor Replacement

NOTE: Do not damage or drop the sensor as it is sensitive. Do not use power tools.

1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
2. Remove the center console.
3. Remove the yaw rate-lateral acceleration sensor (A) mounting bolts.





4. Disconnect the yaw rate-lateral acceleration sensor 5P connector (B).
5. Check for deformation in the bracket (C). If necessary replace it.
6. Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
7. Do the VSA sensor neutral position memorization.
