SRS Unit ReplacementRemoval
1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait for 3 minutes before starting work.
2. Remove the driver's dashboard center lower cover and passenger's dashboard center lower cover.
3. Using a TORX T30 bit, remove the TORX bolt (A).
4. With navigation: Remove the audio disc changer.
5. Without navigation: Remove the center pocket.
6. Disconnect SRS unit connector A (39P) and SRS unit connector B (39P), and remove the TORX bolts (C) using a TORX T30 bit, then pull out the SRS unit.
Installation
1. install the SRS unit (A) with a new TORX bolt (B), using a TORX T30 bit.
NOTE: Be sure the SRS unit is sitting squarely against it's bracket before torquing the TORX bolt.
2. Using a TORX T30 bit, install the new TORX bolts (A), then connect the connectors (B) to the SRS unit; push them into position until they click.
3. Do the battery terminal reconnection procedure.
4. Calibrate the ODS unit.
5. Do the ODS unit operation check.
6. Confirm proper SRS operation: Turn the ignition switch ON (II); the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
7. Reinstall all removed parts.
