REVISION SUMMARY

BACKGROUND

Some 2008 Accord L4 vehicles may experience an intermittent lack of power due to interference or noise on the knock sensor signal circuit. Interference or noise on this circuit can cause the PCM to retard the ignition timing, creating a decrease in engine power, usually during acceleration.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Update the PGM-FI software with the HDS.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

Update the PGM-FI software with HDS. Refer to Service Bulletin 01-023, Updating Control Units/Modules.
