CMP Pulse Plate Removal and InstallationRemoval
1. Remove the cylinder head cover.
2. Remove the camshaft sprocket.
3. Remove the rocker arm assembly.
4. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector, then remove the CMP sensor.
5. Remove the camshaft thrust cover, then pull out the camshaft.
6. Remove the CMP pulse plate mounting bolt (A) and CMP pulse plate (B) on both camshaft.
Installation
1. Install the CMP pulse plate (A) and CMP pulse plate mounting bolt (B) on both camshaft. Wipe them clean and lubricate the mounting bolt threads with new engine oil. Torque the bolt to 34 N.m (3.5 kgf.m, 25 lbf.ft).
2. Install the camshaft in to the cylinder head, then install the camshaft thrust cover with new O-ring.
3. Install the CMP sensor with new O-ring, then connect the CMP sensor connector.
4. Install the rocker arm assembly.
5. Install the camshaft sprocket.
6. Install the cylinder head cover.
