Rear Seat Removal/InstallationSpecial Tools Required
KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014 *
* Available through the American Honda Tool and Equipment Program
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
1. Pull the rear seat belt buckles (A) and the center shoulder seat belt detachable anchor (B) out through each elastic band (C) on both seat cushions. Then lift both seat cushions up.
2. From bottom of both rear seat-backs (A), release the fasteners (B) in the rear of the carpet (C).
3. Fold both rear seats forward.
4. Remove the child seat tether anchor covers from the backs of both rear seat-backs .
5. Detach the clips and release the fasteners at the front of the cargo area floor.
6. Remove the bolts securing both rear seats (A).
7. Remove the right rear seat (A) and the left rear seat (B) through both rear door opening.
8. Install the seats in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Apply medium strength type liquid thread lock to the seat mounting bolts before reinstallation.
- Push the clips into place securely.
- After installing, fix the seat belt buckles and the detachable anchor with elastic bands on both seat cushions.
