DTC 27-23

DTC 27-23: Steering Angle Sensor Exchange Malfunction
1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
2. Clear the DTC with the HDS. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then ON (II) again.
3. Turn the steering wheel from lock to lock.
4. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 27-23 indicated?
YES - Check for the steering angle sensor installation. If installation is OK, replace the steering angle sensor.
NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals between the steering angle sensor and the VSA modulator-control unit. Refer to intermittent failure.
