Change Lever Clearance Inspection





1. Measure the clearance between change lever (A) and the select lever (B) with a feeler gauge (C). If the clearance is more than the service limit, go to step 2.
Standard:
'01 model: 0.05 - 0.40 mm (0.002 - 0.016 inch)
'02-03 models: 0.05 - 0.35 mm (0.002 - 0.014 inch)
Service Limit:
'01 model: 0.6 mm (0.024 inch)
'02-03 models: 0.6 mm (0.024 inch)





2. Measure the groove of the change lever.
^ If distance is not within the standard, replace the change lever with a new one.
^ If distance is within the standard, replace the select lever with a new one.
Standard:
'01 model: 15.00 - 15.15 mm (0.591 - 0.596 inch)
'02-03 models: 13.00 - 13.15 mm (0.512 - 0.518 inch)
