DTC P2227: BARO Sensor Range/Performance Problem

NOTE:
- Information marked with an asterisk (*) applies to 2001-2003 models.
- Information marked with double asterisks (**)applies to 2004-2005 models.

1. Reset the ECM/PCM.
2. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
3. Test-drive with the A/T in 2nd (2) (CVT in L), or the M/T in 4th gear.
4. Accelerate for 5 seconds using wide open throttle.
5. Check for a Temporary DTC with the HDS or a scan tool.

Is Temporary DTC P1106* (P2227)** indicated?

YES - Update the ECM/PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM/PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good ECM/PCM, replace the original ECM/PCM.

NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.
