IPU Case Replacement

NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands. IMA components are located in this area. The IMA is a high-voltage system. You must be familiar with the IMA system before working on or around it. Make sure you have read the IMA service precautions before doing repairs or service.

1. Remove the IPU lid.
2. Remove the PDU capacitor.
3. Remove the MPI module.
4. Remove the MCM.
5. Remove the DC-DC converter.
6. Remove the battery module.
7. Remove the IPU module fan.
8. Remove the IPU module air ducts.
9. Remove the PDU/DC-DC converter heatsink air duct.





10. Remove the DC-DC converter wire (A) and IPU wire harness (B).
11. Remove the bolts (C) and the IPU case (D).
12. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
13. Do the ECM idle learn procedure.
